Tip #1: Always look to “Match 4 or more” first

While the name of the game is “match 3”, always look for potential opportunities to “match 4” gems, as this will give you another turn.   With an additional turn, you can accrue more action points, mana, or use a spell, or use action points to attack. The more additional turns you get, the more you will control the board and are better positioned to win. Matching four of a kind will become easier to spot with some practice, and later in the game, when there are more spells turning gems different colors, there are usually a lot more opportunities to do this.
