Ace Combat: Assault Horizon> Multiplayer Tips
Hello fellow aces, TheDecisiveDuck is back yet again to hopefully help you on your way to becoming the best of the best in online multiplayer matches...of course after strong deliberation and patience you'll get there. Okay, so it's time to eject out of the campaign and into a new shiny experience (by this I mean online multiplayer) but at the same time you may be asking yourselves 'How am I going to compare to other Ace Combat veterans?' 'What is the best set up?' 'How will I unlcok more aircraft?' and a very common question would be 'How do I gain experience?'. After extensive testing of numerous approaches to each game type being either Capital Conquest, Domination or Deathmatch it is clear that to be the best everytime you may want to follow my tips and tricks listed below. On the other hand please do not ONLY use my tips because it is multiplayer afterall...try using some of your own finesse.
. Experience. Experience can be gained quite easily in different game modes as because each offers its own approach. You may want to play online but you believe you 'Dogfight' skills are lacking, in that case Domination or Capital Conquest is perfect as because it offers not only optional dogfighting but mainly a chance to use the choppers and any other aircraft you have unlocked to defend and destroy ememy objectives. Alternatively you may want to try your dogfighting skills to the test against other opponents and for which, I would suggest the intense and adrenaline pumping Team Deathmatch mode as because well...it plays how it says really, pitting you against other aces around the world. Whatever mode you choose just make sure to PLAY THE OBJECTIVE because when it comes to raking in exp, it is your best option to do so.
. Unlocking Aircraft. Throughout your time playing the campaign, you may have noticed that certain aircraft have become available to pilot, such as the amazing PAK FA multirole aircraft which is a personal favourite of mine if I do say so myself. Not only can such aircraft be unlocked in the campaign but also when playing multiplayer different skins for well, different aircraft (sorry for saying 'aircraft' to much) can also be unlocked allowing you to really customize until your hearts content. Overall most jets and helos will be unlocked in the campaign.
. Spending experience. It may have already shocked you now that leveling up is quite slow if you have already played multiplayer however the amount of exp you earn per rank is very useful when it comes to spending it on different 'skills'. By using you exp points to buy these skills you would be able to furthermore improve upon your playstyle. For example, do you have trouble with evasive manoeuvring? well why don't you use some of that hard earned exp to purchase 'turning improvement' to give you a better edge against your opponent. Just remmber, usually the better skills are the ones costing quite a lot (around 50,000 exp) so it might be a good idea to start saving up.
. Teammates and wingmen. When playing either domination or capital conquest it is crucial that you KNOW YOUR ROLE !. Are you going to be a bomber to destory the enemy HQ? or are you going to be a fighter in order to escort other bombers? knowing such and having a reliable team would always ensure victory in the skies. However, you may decide that starting with a fighter would be better to weaken air defences around the objective then switch to a bomber in order to damage the enemy HQ, which in that case would be completely okay. Although the main point needed to be conveyed here is that teamwork will always win the war so it's time to dust off your mic and use it wisely.
. Aircraft selection. When it comes to choosing the best aircraft to suit your play style, make sure you stick with it for a while, whos knows you may find out that your not to bad at Ace Combat after all. By taking the correct choice you may not only gain more multiplayer skill but also gain a lot more exp in the process. Yet again I believe that the best choice of aircarft would be either the PAK FA or the F22-A Raptor. Also to end in this, it is important that you also do not stray to far out of the strengths within your class because i'm sure the enemy would be happy to engage in a dogfight with a bomber.
And so after reading this I hope youhave refrained some knowledge about how to improve upon your online standing and overall become more aware of just how easy it is to become masterful when it comes to dogfighting or bombing. It should also be clear that you make sure you work with others in a match as because overall this would increase your performance meaning it would increase the amount of exp you gain. That all for today pilot...i'll be expecting to see you at the top of the leaderboards! dismissed.

Great, keep this up.
Sadly my PS3 doesn't have PSN atm, but anytime soon, I'll eventually end up at the top of the leaderboards, maybe. :PPosted on Oct 30, 2011 at 11:27 AM
